Oh hey – its me, Kait, one of the associates at Fly Free Photography! I love capturing all the small intimate details of your wedding day and beyond, and thus felt it was only fair to lead by example! This year was Hubby and I's 2nd Wedding Anniversary and to celebrate we did our dream mountain anniversary shoot at the bighorn lookout! We chose this location as we didn’t get married in the mountains like we originally thought we would and therefore felt like this was the perfect opportunity to do so!
Kananaskis Anniversary Shoot
This breathtaking spot is not your typical Kananaskis feel but it is so much better!!! Canmore and Banff are stunning but can often be busy, unlike this beautiful alternative that has waterfalls, dreamy mountain backdrops and cascading hills! If you are a mountain lover like me, and often venture to the mountains then this is the alternative you are looking for to spice up your mountain routine! For most, a trip to the mountains involves a 1-1.5 hour drive and this is no different! So next time you’re thinking of a mountain shoot, consider this dreamy spot for all the amazing backdrops!
Something else that was important when choosing the location for our photos was that I wanted to make sure I could bring our pup Nali along and this spot was perfect! Moments away from the car you are surrounded by these beautiful landscapes perfect for bringing your furry friend along for the adventure with you!
Plus who doesn’t love sharing their photoshoot with sheep?

It was a date. We got dressed up. I had my hair and makeup done by the one and only Fly Free preferred vendors Sam from House of Beauty and we spent the day driving through the picturesque mountainsides and then finished it off with a bottle of wine and pizza once we were home! AND now we have these stunning photos to look back on and you best know – we will be doing it again! Celebrating your love doesn't stop after you get married, it could be and should be a yearly thing!
