Canyon Meadows Golf Course
Christie and Dave are a super cute, fun and relaxed couple. They had their wedding at Canyon Meadows golf course in Calgary which I had never been to. Stunning, stunning property! Some of the photos that I took on the course remind me of Tuscany in Italy. The scenery at the course is beautiful with a backdrop of the Canadian Rockies, and a great view of Fish Creek Park. Picture it, you're very own Italian themed photos but in Calgary. Just wait until you see their sunset photos, they're spectacular!
Christie and Dave decided to have a first look, which I'm always a fan of. First looks are always one of my favorite memories to capture! Her dress was a beautiful classic dress and I loved the way it flowed. It also had pockets which is always a win - am I right ladies? They had one person each in their wedding party which was their siblings. I thought this was a really sweet gesture to have each of their siblings make up their wedding party. It’s so nice to see the family dynamics of each of my couples and the excitement surrounding them during their intimate wedding. They didn’t do a traditional sit down dinner for their reception, they just had appies and a cocktail hour. But the cool aspect was that their cocktail hour lasted all night, so it was just appies going around the whole time which was super fun! I’m a huge fan of appetizers, so this was right up my alley!
Sunset Wedding Photos
We took some photos around the property and did some beautiful sunset photos which were super dreamy. After the first look photos, there were some massive rain clouds that started rolling in. Thankfully it didn't rain a stitch! It was dry the whole time, there were just really moody clouds for a while. Suddenly, the clouds broke and there was a really gorgeous sunset, which if you have been here a hot minute - you know I ALWAYS recommend sunset photos to my couples, trust me when I say it's always worth it! All in all, the whole day really brought out Christie and Dave super easy going, fun-loving personalities and the love that they have for their friends and family.
