Even though it has gotten much harder to get to the lake at prime times for photos, there is still a way - you just need to catch a Moraine Lake Shuttle. Which, thankfully there are a bunch of different options for this. So whether you are looking for a surprise engagement, couples photos or even planning an elopement there is a way to still visit this beautiful lake.

Moraine Lake Engagement
Kylie and Joe were so cute and much fun to work with, constantly cracking jokes throughout the whole process! I loved it! Joe planned their surprise engagement photos in the mountains because he’s been to Canada before and loved Moraine Lake. Moraine Lake is one of my favorite places to shoot an engagement. I’ve been there so many times and it is honestly never the same. The scene is different every single time…and in a good way. I really thought that with all the new restrictions and scheduling that came in I would dislike it however, it is a bit inconvenient to get there but it was really beautiful when we went. Smokey Mountain Engagement Photos
Joe and Kylie are from Wisconsin and they have the cutest service dog named Shiro, who came along with them to camp and explore for the few weeks they’re visiting Canada (it was Shiro's birthday week!). I love including pets in your engagement photos - check out what else you can bring to an engagement photoshoot. We made a plan and Kylie ended up planning out her whole engagement with me - without realizing it, ha-ha. She had no idea it was coming! Her emerald green dress looked so gorgeous and was the perfect engagement photo outfit. When we got to the lake there was a lot of smoke in the valley. Smokey mountain engagement photos are the best because the smoke caused the sun to give off this pinky cast which made the whole scene look just really, really pretty. The story behind Kylie’s ring was so heartfelt. It is a family heirloom in Joe’s family. The band was his great grandmother’s and the stones were his grandfather's. It used to have an emerald in the middle which Joe replaced with a diamond and he got it all spruced up, which I thought was really a sweet touch.
