Today, we are doing something a little different on the blog! Usually we feature some of Calgary's dreamiest wedding venues (you can check out our favourites here) and some of the most incredible natural landscapes across Western Canada. We love what we do, but today we wanted to showcase the magic you can create in your own backyard. We have featured backyard weddings on the blog here (you can check out some inspiration here, here or here).
When Cailin Billings came to us with an idea to create a beautiful micro wedding to show off the potential small events can have (and why you don't always need a fancy wedding venue), we couldn't resist. With no added pressure of a "real wedding" we also had a TON of time to photograph every single detail. I'm obsessed with the way these photos turned out!
Wedding Luncheons, Bridal Showers, Bachelorette Parties, Mother's Day Brunch
Although we all work primarily with couples on their wedding day, we also wanted to take a chance to showcase a stunning setup you can create in your own backyard. Cailin did an incredible job putting together the design so well, but the whole point is that it doesn't need to be overly complicated to be incredible (and of course - you can just hire her to take care of the details!).
Now that we are all meeting in person again, why not create something like this for all of your events? From Wedding Luncheons, Bridal Showers, Bachelorette Parties, to Mother's Day Brunch - there is literally no time when a stunning backyard setup doesn't work!
Calgary Elopement Photographer
As elopement photographers, we also often help our couples with the planning and coordination of their micro wedding and elopement. Can we just finish by saying, it was kind of nice to take the back seat and watch Cailin Billings work her magic?!
