We want to bring out your love story through our images so that you have memories for years to come, after all - your wedding photos is the only visual memory you will have 20 years from now. Thus, interviewing photographers can prove difficult, at times...regardless of whether you hire our team or another, below are some questions to help you find the perfect photographer for your special day. You will also find our answers to the questions below!
Hello there! If you're new to Fly Free Photography I'd like to pause and say, welcome! We're so happy that you're here to learn a bit more about who we are and what we do! My name is Krystal, boss babe at Fly Free Photos. We, at Fly Free, are an amazing team made up of three talented photographers. Questions to ask your wedding photographer
Below we have added some common questions that we get as Calgary Wedding Photographers and how we address them.
1. How many hours of coverage do I need?
Every couple has different needs, but don't worry! Let's chat, I will help walk you through what will work best for what you're looking for. Our most popular package is 9 hours. Fun fact - I also help hand craft personalized timelines for all our clients so that we can fit in everything you have been dreaming about for your weddings day, as well as make sure we get the best lighting for it.
2. Do we have to be avid hikers?
Not at all! We have tons of epic locations we can just drive up to and if you want a mountain top there is always the option of a helicopter elopement!
3. Can we have family and friends at our elopement?
We want you to have a day that is authentic to you, if that means having your close family and friends then yes!
4. Will you help us find a location?
1000%, there is nothing I love more than getting to know the two of you and finding the perfect spot for your magical day!
5. Do you shoot big weddings?
Yes, we do. We do it all elopements, micro weddings and larger weddings up to about 150 people in Calgary and surrounding areas, aka the Rocky Mountains.
6. Will you be the one shooting my wedding? If not, can I meet the photographer who will be on site?
We have a team of 3 photographers. You will always know upfront who your photographer is. If your package includes an engagement session then the photographer who is shooting it will also shoot your wedding. It will be either myself, Meghan or Kate. (right to left in the photo below) You will always know who and get to chat with them before your wedding day.
7. Can I customize a package to fit my needs?
Yes, we have 6 and 8 hour base packages. But there are add ons depending on what you are looking for (ie. an album).
8. Do you include engagement photos in your packages or other pre-wedding events?
Yes, some of our packages include engagement photos and some do not. The ones that do not include engagement photos are discounted on the engagement session.
9. Do you charge a travel fee?
All of our packages include a travel fee within them up to 2 hours from Calgary. But, if your wedding is somewhere else, we would still love to chat as we love traveling!
10. How will my photos be delivered?
All of your images will be delivered on an online gallery that is open for you to share with anybody around the world that you can download, print and share.
11. Do you require a retainer? When is it due?
Yes, we require a retainer and it is due at the time of booking. Your retainer and signed contract books your day. Your day isn't officially booked until the retainer and contract are signed and paid for.
