I know I say this every time, but honestly, Russell and Ashleigh's wedding day was just so incredibly sweet. From getting ready photos to their wedding reception at the Malcolm Hotel in Canmore, we absolutely loved being a part of every single moment. Ashleigh and Russell hired us for both wedding photography and videography, and I just love how their wedding photos and their video go together so well. Wedding Photos at The Malcolm Hotel in Canmore
Their wedding day started at the Malcolm Hotel in Canmore, where they were each getting ready with their half of the wedding party. Russell was an absolute mess as he put the finishing touches on his vows - he could not stop crying and it was really, really, sweet. You'll see below in the photos, but another favourite "getting ready" moment was tying his tie - it took two groomsmen and a youtube video to get it right! Ashleigh's getting-ready moments were equally adorable with a bridal reveal that had all the girls in tears! Absolutely adorable.
Wedding Photos With Their Dog!
I always love Canmore wedding photos because the backdrop is truly just so phenomenal, but Ashleigh and Russell made it extra special by bringing their dog (his name is Captain!). He came out to join them shortly after their first look (which yes, you guessed it, was incredibly sweet). They also hired Sun's out paws out Pet Services which honestly, if you are considering a dog-friendly wedding, is a fantastic idea. She brought Captain out for photos but took care of him the entire time so Ashleigh and Russell could enjoy his presence stress-free.
To make their Canmore wedding photos even more special, Ashleigh's dad surprised them by renting an open-top bus for their wedding party to go around for photos! Although there was a little rain on and off throughout the day, it cleared up in time for the wedding reception.
The Malcolm Hotel in Canmore Wedding
We always love when couples personalize their wedding ceremony and reception, and Ashleigh and Russell went all out making it their own. During the wedding ceremony, the officiant was Ashleigh's brother-in-law and he brought in so many stories and personal touches. During the reception, their friends brought in a ton of fun! First, Ashleigh's sister organized a rap dance for the two of them and it was SO good and so much fun. Ashleigh is a cheerleader for the Calgary stampeders, so her fellow cheerleaders also came together and did a routine where they spelled out the newlywed's new last name (Peacock!).
All in all, the whole day was perfect, absolutely adorable in every way. They are clearly so in love with each other and are one of the absolute cutest couples in the whole world. I could not have been happier for the two of them!
